Sadly, this is just approximately 50% of the cases that have been reported pre-pandemic. In reality, victims are either unaware, hesitant, or unable to report these cases immediately to the police. The police are aware that they need to strengthen their protection of these victims and that involves improving their online presence, especially with the pandemic at bay.
